At 4:49 p.m. Thursday afternoon, Washington Police responded to a report of a domestic altercation between the caller’s niece and the nieces estranged husband in the front yard at 1109 Washington Avenue. The caller said that the husband, thirty-one year old Robert Evans of Washington had taken a large rock and broken out the windows of her nieces mini-van. When Washington Police officers arrived they arrested Evans on a charge of domestic battery. Robert Evans is being held in the Daviess County Security Center. No bond has been set.
