An accident in a barn near Montgomery, resulted in the death of a nine-year old Amish boy Monday.
According to a press release from the Daviess County Sheriff's Department, nine year old Michael Stoll, the son of Stephan and Karen Stoll, was found by family members in the barn's hay loft on the family farm located on Daviess County Road 725 N. It is uncertain how long the boy had been in the hay loft.
Around 5:03 p.m. Daviess County Sheriff's Deputies and volunteers from the Odon and Madison Township Volunteer Fire Departments fuond the boy unresponsive and immediately began CPR. The boy was taken by ambulance to Daviess Community Hospital where he was pronounced dead. Althought the initial ruling is that the death was accidental, the investigation into the circumstances surrounding the boys death is on-going.
